Journals - Emil - 2014-Mar-25

Current we have two journals up and running.

Open Differential Psychology
This one is about human differences in mental attributes, whether at the individual or group level.

Competitor journals: Intelligence, Personality and Individual Differences, Journal of Intelligence, Mankind Quarterly, and others.

Open Behavioral Genetics
This is about the study of the genetic and environmental causes of behavior.

Competitor journals: Behavior genetics, Genes, Brain and Behavior, Twin Research and Human Genetics and others.

In the works.

Open Interdisciplinary Psychology
a journal for interdisciplinary material such as discussions of policy based on psychological findings. Competitors: Psychology, Public Policy, and Law, ?.

We are open to ideas for new journals. The monetary price of setting up a journal is about 0, but it needs a review team and it needs a market.

Suggestions so far:

Evolutionary anthropology/psychology
Competitors? Is it necessary?

Discuss new journal proposals in this thread.

RE: Journals - Philbrick Bastinado - 2014-Mar-29

As it stands, ODP and OBG would receive the vast majority of contributions. Other journals should perhaps be combined (Psychological Miscellany?). Even so, it would be hard to find enough contributors.
